The worst part about the entire gas tax holiday fracas, besides being an obvious and transparent pander, is Hillary's insistence that the economists are wrong and that even though she is "stunned" by the opposition to her plan, she still thinks it's a good idea. Obama could easily back her into a corner here, leaving her with two options, both bad for Hillary: either a continued defense of the holiday, which would make her look stubborn (a la Bush), or a realization that it's a mistake, and giving up on the idea.
